Two Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÉçÇø Board of Regents Committees to Meet on March 24

Baltimore, Md. (March 21, 2025) – Two committees of the Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÉçÇø (Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÉçÇø) Board of Regents will meet on Monday, March 24.

The committee will vote on approval of the minutes from its prior meeting on Jan. 29 and vote on a review of constitutional amendments for the Council of University System Staff (CUSS). The committee then will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act.

Those items concern an update on the status of collective bargaining at Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÉçÇø institutions, ratification briefings regarding MOUs at three institutions, a pre-negotiation briefing regarding an institution labor MOU, an administrative matter regarding an annual board assessment, and certain contracts and employment agreements.

The committee will vote fiscal year (FY) 2026 self-support charges and fees, mechanical and window replacement at 737 West Lombard building at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) and building renovations to the UMB School of Dentistry Ambulatory Surgery Center. The committee also will vote on an increase in authorization for HVAC replacement of the Commons Building kitchen at Salisbury University, a new greenhouse building at Bowie State University, modification of an enterprise resource planning implementation partner contract at the University of Maryland, College Park, and Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÉçÇø enrollment projections FY 2026-2035.

The committee will vote on whether to reconvene in closed session to discuss items exempted from public consideration under the Open Meetings Act. Those items are the awarding of contracts for advertising and marketing, counseling services, dining services, and software volume licensing, products, and services, and consideration of the purchase of property in the City of Annapolis.
